As you all know, some of the items in the Shop can only be obtained from item boxes. Say for instance, the 'Spider' torso.

Damn that one is a pain in the arse to obtain! >.<

The idea of the Discount Store is to provide another way around grinding for weeks on end just to get that one item you so desperately need or want. Mythical items are not included in the Discount Store, as you may have been wondering. We don't want this to be too overpowered now do we?

To give you some perspective, it took me at least 600 boxes just for me to obtain one, yes ONE 'Spider' torso! I've never gotten another one since then.

That accumulates to... you ready for this? 3,000,000 SuperMech Coins!

Back to the subject matter, this is how the Discount Store would work...
Every item (except mythicals) is purchasable at the Discount Store using SuperMech Coins and are always at half price. Unlike the Shop however, the Discount Store only has a limited supply of items and gets re-stocked every day with random items. A number will appear in the lower right corner of each item, displaying how many there are left. Once that number counts down to 0, you will be unable to purchase that item until more instances are re-stocked. Any surplus items which are left in the Discount Store at the end of the day will either be destroyed or put into the daily bonus.

This will make the Multiplayer aspect a lot more engaging as you never know, you could go away with something amazing in your inventory. Just make sure you have a lot of SuperMech Coins though!

And I think this idea has good potential. I used to play another game online which the buying system would give you % chances of gaining permanent items (everything else was time based and expired). I remember I spent a pretty decent amount of money on that game to try getting some of the nicer permanent items and literally found out my best friend spent half as much as I did and had MORE permanent items than me. Needless to say, I wasn't too happy when I found that out.

So the idea of being able to get something not necessarily by chance is nice. As you said, keep the store to a limited number of items in it daily (or weekly maybe so those not quite as dedicated have a chance to see and buy an item). I wouldn't suggest 50% though. That may be a bit steep. We could put maybe, 20 items in the store at all time. All are discounted (so it may be items you could end up buying, but at a slightly better price). Probably do a % discount in the store (maybe 30%?).

Maybe make it so that the items "restock" randomly around a 24 hour schedule (not always the same so activity will be rewarded, not getting on at exact same time every day) but make the items available change up every week or month. So basically, something like this:

-Discount Store contains 20 different kinds of items
-The items will contain a limited amount of stock
-The items rarity (rare, epic, legendary, etc) will determine the stock amount per day. Maybe something like:

• Normal - 50
• Rare - 30
• Epic - 20
• Legendary - 10

-Everyday items will be restocked (randomize time within 24 hour time period so it's not same everyday)
-Every week (or month) the 20 items that are available change

This type of store would encourage more activity from players and allow players to focus more on customization of their mech rather than simply depending on chance to get any sort of item through item boxes.

You could also throw in a limited time mythical item maybe? I think enough mythical items have been introduced where this is ok.

The item could be an item won in clan weekly.

Say every weekend, the normal box will contain a .1% chance to contain a mythical item.

Examples could be, Ultraspade, Wipeout, HP modules, and lavascope.

This will be a pool of only old items.

Once the mythical item is obtained, the normal box can revert back to the regular normal box.

This deal is a limited time weekly and would encourage everyone to play.

I don't want to see kits in the Discount Store however, I get enough of them just by the item box sprees alone!
