Okay, so this doesn't really have anything to do with the game as it's more relevant to the forums. But I thought that this was the best place to put this topic so please don't sue me.

Here are a few of my ideas that I think will make the friends system a lot more useful... Reintegration, Optimisation and Division.
ReintegrationI think we can all agree that the friends system needs to be reintegrated back into SuperMechs. As it stands, it can be extremely difficult to intercept your friends as there is currently no way to other than using the forums' friends system, which could be improved. More on that in 'Optimisation' though. Not many people who play SuperMechs use the forums, let alone even know about it! That's a new tip to put in by the way, "TIP: You can access the forums by clicking the 'Forum' button at the top of the page.".
Also while I'm on the subject matter, why was the friends system replaced with the clan system in SuperMechs? Don't get me wrong now, the clan system is great! But I just don't see the reason behind replacing the friends system with it instead of just having both. The clan system isn't very reliable in the sense of keeping in contact with friends as players can just opt-out of a clan at any given time, or get kicked out by the leader.
OptimisationSometimes when I go into my User Control Panel to see who's online and I find lets say... KingSpikey. I often at times find that when I log in to say "Hi", said player isn't displayed on the 'Players in Chat' list, so I have to add to the spam in the global chat by typing "PM me <Friend's Username>" loads of times and hope that I get their attention. This usually fails because it is a stupid method, but it's the only way! Now I am aware that not all player get displayed on the 'Players in Chat' list as there are hundreds of people on the production server at any given time. but since I'm a rank 1 and some of my active friends like WarrMachine or Xx_Bluz_xX are too, they happen to fit inside of that small list whenever they go online. This is how I noticed the problem in the first place and I assume that it is a connection issue.
DivisionThe friends system should be divided up into three separate lists; one for BattleDawn, one for SuperMechs and one for the Forums. This would make it a lot easier to intercept your friends and also make the "
Online" tag less vague. Take TorturedZealot for example, he's on my friends list and I am pretty sure that he plays on both games. How am I going to differentiate between BattleDawn and SuperMechs when he goes online? I can't because the friends system isn't sophisticated enough, it doesn't tell me what game he is on! Adding in this feature would eliminate this problem and make the forums' friends system look more like this...

Along with all of that, could you make it so that players only get tagged as "
Online" when they go onto multiplayer and
NOT when they bugger off onto campaign mode as this will make things a lot less confusing. I know about this because I tested it when I logged in as Xzycko on another computer. Back then, both accounts were in the same clan.
Feedback is appreciated, as always.
Oh..., so that's what 'bumping' does.
