At the moment in SM, the fusion system only allows an item to be completely destroyed in order to make another more powerful. I think there are problems with this, for example you accidentally fuse a powerful item into an item when you meant to fuse it into something else. Now you have to destroy a potentially legendary/mythical to make the other more powerful. Here is my idea:
1) Items start at 0 fusion. All levels after this require
level * 10 fusion and an exponential increase of
o * 1.05 = n on the base amount, where
o is the previous power point requirement and
n is the new requirement.
2) Instead of destroying items, fusion can be extracted from items and added to the fusion pool (total amount of fusion points) by entering the number of fusion points to extract. Attempting to extract more power than the item holds will extract all existing fusion.
3) Fusing power into items will extract power points from the pool to add to the item.
4) Building items. In the new campaign mode, destroying mechs (as well as in item boxes) can give you item parts. These can be fused with power points to build items once a certain number of parts have been collected. Legendary and Mythical items also require a blueprint to create, which can rarely be found in item boxes. Building items requires a certain amount of time depending on the item.
5) Each function of the new system is in a separate tab.
With this new system, items can be upgraded in a more practical way, as well as being able to build hard-to-find items.
