I've noticed some balance and other general gameplay issues with that game I wish to go over. So here are my thoughts and solutions
Weight Limit A solid 1000 that never changes with level or new parts or anything. So when you're a low level you get new parts and throw them on you don't ever think about it, and then... BOOM suddenly you're trying to figure out if you want a better droid and weaker mods or stronger mods and weaker droids. The weight doesn't limit low levels at all offering no balance and then it limits high levels to the point that you can't trade up anything. Solution The weight limit needs to change with the game. You could have it based off level but that's a bit cheap and doesn't add much to strategy. I suggest the Yuke's model where the legs control weight limit. You get better legs and you get more weight. These "better" legs usually come with drawbacks like slower speed, but you can sacrifice a little speed for a better arm or CPU or whatever.
Battle Tickets The point of these tickets is to keep you from battle spamming but it's just annoying. Fight a couple rounds. Wait. fight a couple rounds. Wait. you could always just play campaign mode but it's not as fun and not as much pay out. On top of that thought the Supermechs community isn't the best at fun, friendly conversation the lack of chat feels very lonely. Solution A quit limit rather than a battle limit. You play the game right you can keep playing. Constantly quit and maybe you can wait 15 minutes.
Buying/Selling So selling was removed recently and replaced with upgrading. This was done to keep people from getting massive hoards of money. The problem with this is that buying things stayed expensive. So the main source of money is battle matches paying 1,000 each win and getting more difficult with each win. And with my torso alone costing 67,500 there might be a little bit of deflation in the Supermech economy. Solution Re-enable selling at 5-10% of shop cost I think will give enough money to motivate people to save for specific parts instead of just buying boxes.
Boxes Boxes are the only thing worth buying. They only cost 5,000 which is what you'll pay for level 2 or 3 parts and the parts you get aren't limited to your level. Often getting 3 parts all costing more than the 1 box. Not to mention all the box only items. Solution Make most items available with "coins", balance the shop system, and raise the price of boxes.
Upgrading When you buy all these boxes and get these spare parts you don't want the only thing you can do to get rid of them is upgrade. And that's cool and all but since a lot of trade up parts have extra weight and offer little more than a damage increase so you can just upgrade your lesser parts and increase the damage through upgrading. And since there's no selling system or anything else to do you just keep upgrading parts making other parts useless. Solution The upgrade system is pretty nerf'd giving very small payouts for very good weapons. If the sale system was brought back or anything to motivate you to keep old parts the upgrade system would be less OP
Inventory Management Currently all your items get lumped into one big pile. Which makes your inventory a mess and you just want to is get rid of things. It's undivided and automatically organized which isn't always the greatest. Solution Having a divided inventory would make saving items bearable. Changing the order of things would also help. Even a trash/throw away option would be nice to get rid of colors. Which brings me to...
Colors I never understood why colors cost in any game, especially this one. They are very basic and parts having gross grey parts that can't be dyed makes finding a nice color combination very hard. Not to mention upgrading just naturally turns your robot orange after a while so my not just keep defualts Solution More colors. Free Colors. Primary and secondary colors. You choose any one would make the color system so much nicer. But in the end it doesn't matter that much
RE-EDIT New Weapons came to light
Heat/Energy Heat and energy are 2 equal forces for balancing and strategy, right? Well while they are there for balancing ans strategy they are from from equal. While heat can cause you to lose a turn. High energy draining can disable weapons and specials to the point that you can do little more than stomp back at your opponent. While you can get your opponent trapped in a cooling loop with heat it's much harder to do and much easier to escape. And swords offer a lot of heat/energy damage and not a lot "recoil" offering these disable weapons. Especially energy which disables your teleport so you can't run away. The max energy drain in 1 turn is -100 and max heat damage is 88. You could beef up your Mech with mods. But to get maximum with both it'd give you 100 energy plus and 100 heat, Wow! but that 275kg of your 1000 weight limit and you can't have any armor, resistance, bullets, or missles. and on top of all that 2 hits from a good energy sword will cut through those mods. Not to mention a Mythical sword can deal almost 200 damage and a massive amount of heat damage making healing kits unusable making them way over powered. Solution Adding heat teleport would nerf energy and getting an all heat droid and charge would also help. Better mods would be the easy and obvious option. More heat/energy recoil on swords would also help. And Heat damage, Energy damage, and Regular damage NEED to be balanced.
