Ok, how about this:
- Both mechs have to be the same level.

Only 1 item per account!This is the important one. It rules out the multi-account exploit. With this limitation, any account can only make one trade, after that
any account is unable to give or receive items from that particular account.
- Items cost battle credits to trade depending on item level, weight and type (i.e normal/rare items cost least, mythicals cost most)
- Items can not be fused above 1000 power points to be tradeable (to avoid top players giving fully-fused mythicals to others)
- After 60 days the trades are reset.
With these limitations, the trading system would only be useful for transferring one legendary or mythical to an account.
