My point was that this particular thread seems useless then. Have not the admins/devs discussed the length of replays/amount of time we have them amongst themselves before? What good does telling them they are wrong? Like I said, without either being able to ascertain and compare the disadvantages of this topic, the chances of this suggestion doing anything is 1:100. At least a public opinion poll would show results from less self-selection bias, meaning more accurate results. More accurate results would have some actual utility. This thread, as good-intentioned as it is, has very little utility.

People have to actively click on a title that says "Lock replays." In Statistics, this would fall under voluntary response bias, because only people with strong opinions of whether or not "replays should be locked" will answer. If everyone had to respond to public opinion polls before moving on, or at the very least. were strongly encouraged to give a response, then the results would not only be much larger, but they would be more accurate.

In short, if 60 or 70 people were agreed in unison about a certain administrative decision, admins/devs would likely go that particular route in efforts to assuage popular opinion. If < 30 people self-select themselves to vote on an administrative decision that they are discontent with, it is much easier for admins and devs to write it off as response bias. Again, this is the difference between an administrative decision and suggestion for what should be added to make the game more fun. Devs/admins absolutely should have more power in game functionality then in suggestions to make the game more fun because this is afterall their project. However, public opinion polls might at the very least help them out in this process whenever there is a shred of doubt amongst themselves.

This means, as much as I strongly am in favor of the supporting this thread, if the admins/devs are unwilling to adjust on this issue, then that is their call. But I really think that the admins/devs should be the ones discussing this here. Our opinions are quite trivial without them. Getting 30 votes here has very little merit and as much as I am grateful for the effort of lilconquer and everyone else that contributed to this thread, I think it will go nowhere unless a higher up weighs in on this

I think that is where you are confused on this, just because it is members and players voting here does not mean we have no weight to our decisions. I also think you forget that admins and devs are players too. We all care about what is best for the game and we work to improve it together. Your whole argument seems rather off topic to me.
