When you lose the difficulty or level of the bots goes down. If you lose and then win obviously it will stay the same so I would suggest losing a few times in a row to get back to what you can handle.

It did not stop players from poaching at lower levels. All the update did, essentially, was make the weak weaker & the strong stronger by virtue of whatever equipment they have, because now they're stuck with it. The update eliminated the ability of lesser players to accumulate the equipment necessary to compete unless they purchase a premium membership.

Yeah when I hit level 21 I couldn't buy a lucifer no matter how much I farmed the computer. The people who pay to play and farm the computer get more out of the same amount of matches, even though offline premium is just a speed boost. This is supposed to make people want to pay, this is how the game rips you off. I'm never going to pay for this game, especially since it is one of the buggiest games I've ever played, no matter how fun it is. This is how they make money, this is online capitalism at its best and we gotta deal with it. Sorry, this is business.

I just wonder how the hell it can happen for me but not someone else here, when I lose a match against a bot, say I've beaten lv 63 normal and not anything above, than lv 63 normal becomes available again. I lose again than lv 62 defeated hard becomes available to me(insane not defeated). Another lose than lv 62 normal is back. I lose again than lv 61 insane becomes available. than hard of it, than normal of it. But how it doesn't happen to you?...
I really wonder what the hell is that....

I'll do a bit of investigation and get back to you. I'll do some screen captures as evidence if it seems to be working differently for me.
Yesterday I assumed (as I said in the post) that lower levels opened up, and its what I thought did happen - only when I read that this wasnt the case did I actually check it out, with one lost match - and it didnt open a lower match.

However, I did have several normal and hard levels degeated at once.

If you have time, lets test out what happens vs what should happen, in my specific case...

Example, I have level 46 Mech, and I have beaten normal and hard at level 47, 48. I have beaten only normal at levels 49 through to 53 (inclusive).
So if I lose vs normal at 54, should 53 normal become available?
If I lose vs hard at 49, what if anything becomes re-open?

(i.e. whats the effect of having several enemies open at several levels, and does the level of the mech being used play a part?)

Edit to add test results;
loss to level 54 normal did indeed open level 53 normal.

Edit to add second test;
lost to hard level 49 and normal level 52 became available (i.e lowered the lowest noramal available by 1). But hard at 48 did not become available.

Edit to add third test
losing against level 51 insane, did open normal at level 51 (again, lowered the lowest noramal available by 1). But not hard or insane.

Edit to add
At this point, I wondered what would happen with a loss if there were no easier ‘normals’ available to open. So I set up a test to see;
Having beaten insane upto and including 48, having beaten normal and hard at 48, this leaves normal 49 and 50 already open. What would happen if I lost to insane at 48, as 49 normal is already open?
Test Result; Loss here to insane at 48 actually Does re-open hard at level 48.

Conclusion - the Computer campaign is fully farmable, in my opinion.
I'd be interested in anyone who finds defeats dont open up lower level enemies posting some specifics, maybe some screen capture evidence.

I'll put it to you this way... I have all the best weapons, kits & a Dragon torso on my level 80 mech that fights at level 70. Even with different fighting styles, kits & configurations, the campaign is very difficult to complete.

Levels 66-70 are extremely difficult because of the 2 vs. 3 move format. I've done my best to play at the top levels with Mechzilla, win or lose, and the recent changes make the game less fun, if not impossible at (insane) levels 69-70. I completed the campaign portion & have the option for "practice" now that reverts back to the old campaign style beginning with level 65 & an opponent with 2 moves instead of 3.

I have the best weapons SM can buy & had to use multiple kits & resistance modules to defeat the computer in insane mode. First 3 rounds of each fight were drone, shields & defense.

Oddly, when I go to the single player selection screen it says the campaign has been completed but under the achievements list it's stuck on level 95/100. LOL

Has anyone else had success above level 68 in insane mode?
