i think there could be some realq potential in edgeless arena but it'd have to be done right
to avoid the exploiting & such. The main idea is to eliminate the possibility of sitting in a corner with shield and 32 resistances while your drone does the shooting...

The main thing to do about it is to limit drone's firing range.

For example: every drone has range of 3-6 if medium sized arena is used.

In an infinite arena someone could run away forever. The max range weapon is 8-9. In an infinite arena someone could use the level 26 epic legs and jump 3 away forever. Then it would just become a drone fight, and with kits drone hits 1 so a fight could take hours.

I agree with ogonna and have actually brought that up before about the flaws of an infinite arena
