but but... they've already said they're making a BD and SM light for smart phones

Yep and Michael said himself that Tactisoft is going to make an application for mobile and soon BattleDawn will be supported by smart phones as Michael also mention during 2014.

That's rather unfortunate, I'd much rather see time go into improving function than an unneeded app.

How and what functions do you want Tactisoft to improve in the game ? I am very curious and I would really like to know how it would benefit the game.

I'd rather see time go into improving and fixing everything in BattleDawn and Supermechs.
