I kinda like them. I thought they were going to change the game in a major way but instead they are a fun new addition.

I am noticing that the game is moving more towards a luck to win than before. Before it came down to having an exact build with the perfect amount of resist and health and 50+ people all having the same exact gear. Now i notice a lot of tier 1 players with horrible builds who are just continually lucky with starting placement. luck with landing on good floor buffs or luck with weapons hitting for large amounts.

It is very annoying to lose to someone just because of luck (this is the reason i hate poker) but i can see why it would be beneficial to the larger majority of players.

Well, I do think you've got some good points. It does add some aspects of luck to the game, but let's be honest, we have weapons with damage ranging from 20 to over 100, so luck is a part of the game already.

But one thing you posted that I took note to, and that was that top players had horrible builds but were lucky. I'm not so sure if that's possible if the builds were truly horrible. You can't make a build relying on the pads, as they are random, and you would lose more than you win (if the build were truly horrible). But it does mix it up a bit, meaning that builds that might have lost against another build, now has a chance of winning. In that sense it's a stabelizer. But at the same time, it's important to remember, all it takes is 1 push, then you're off the pad, and therefore it does add an extra layer of strategy to play with them, and play around them, not to help the enemy.

i didn't mean only the floor buffs add luck. I mean there are more and more things added to the game that are luck. Like the shotgun and newer weapons have a larger range of damage. Some older weapons are only 10-20 points of damage difference when some of the newer ones can be 30-40 points of damage difference. = more luck to win.

Horrible builds. i went up against a rank one player yesterday with 2 shotguns a sword and 2 blind spots. Normally when i see this i think "this will be easy unless..." and sure enough he hit me 3x in a row for over 120hp. needless to say it was a very short game and was all luck on his side.

I'd say there are more good heat mechs at rank 1 than energy. I am usually happy to come against an energy mech because most of them are horrible. I'd have a really hard time naming more than 1 or 2 decent energy mechs in the top 50.

I have to say I like the floor buffs, sure they add some randomness, but also a chance to make (or avoid ) mistakes.

What I simply don't get are the battle credits. Why discourage people to play?
I know I'm not playing as much as I was before and I'm sure this goes for lots of people.
If I wasn't a regular winner I would seriously consider quitting altogether.

Mythical items are bad too, but luckily you only come across a bot with 3 stacked mythicals every now and then.

Other than that, great game, very addictive, and perfect to pley during work... except when you have to wait 20 minutes between fights...

i see more buffs in energy witch helps energy players. Any way it is not that much luck.A tricky player can get the help to win using buffs. I am a physical player but i do not met physical buffs like energy anyway good job SM team.
