I like when games have chats, it means communication, but in this game, harassing is non-stop and there are guys bragging and boasting, while always being unfriendly, I am not friendly, but I dont go off the ledge, there are many users abusing chat and being jerkasses, I know that this game has it and we cannot do nothing blah blah blah, but let me tell you they call everyone noobs, are unhelpful, and boast even to players lower than them, I dont wanna make that boasting go away, but I want to tone them three notches down, because half the time the chat is spammed with these gems:
"Another newb goes down"
"I am unstoppable!"
"No one can beat me!"
Okay, we get you are very good, but no need treating us like dirt or pawns (Ironically, some players even say that literally), intsead of helping players, something you probably did hear 5 times at best, they just go and spam the chat with it, now, this isn't to attract "Stop crying and get better", I will, it takes time, but while I am doing it, they are calling me coward for not accepting a level 18 versus a freaking 20-25, and all the while if I accept, they keep being asses in the chat.

Every game comes with over-confident players. The best thing you can do is not retaliate and prove in a battle that you are better than them. There's nothing better than beating a cocky player in a fight, no matter what the game may be.

Yes, SM chat has some rude players, however recently the chat has become a lot more friendly and a lot more enjoyable, if you're able to ignore the cocky players. It's just a matter of letting them get to you or not. Aside from those few players, there are many friendly players and the chat can be very enjoyable.

the game does have a block function you click on the players name and then click on ignore all messages from this player

Ineffective or broken, it doesnt actually work, or resets after each match/log in

Thank Korrupt, I did it twice but the feature self deactivates somehow.
