I was able to take that one down without an issue, but the other have been a pain cooling down then hitting me twice. The first turn they can attack you while they use a shield and a drone too. Also, they get other buffs to like extra hp and the ability to do more damage. I guess they call it insane for a reason.

Because it really is..... insane  You have almost no chance against them without the damage bonus...

I just have 2 swords.
he will always put up a shield and drone first...

he will always put up a shield and drone first... It does do that first, but it has a third action now. So, it will hit back on the first turn unless you somehow stop it from attacking.

IDK I've beat insane up to lvl 62 the AI is succeptible to repeated high damage from 2 swords if you're in a corner, not even 3 actions will help him all resistancies high of course no shield you're going for his HP like a thief

I am more of a ranged fighter than a close combat one. For the most part anyways.
