I've beaten mike5mike today :)
Lvl 20 bots, in one battle. In second battle he took me more seriously and used few resistance modules pushing his resistances to 23 or such :) Ofc I had no chance.

I must be doing something right :)

I was in dilemma to get -whole- nice lvl 25-27 bot (non rare items though) or get lucifer body which has similar stats as those bodies, and with some weapon juggling you can fight lvl 20-22 people or even level 25-27, you lose nothing. Hope I've made right choice by getting lucifer.

For now best tactic seems to get top quality low level gear slowly, then to jump to higher levels rashly and get spanked with people that use described tactic :) Am I right?

Anyway is it me or choice of bodies is really horrible? You have like 2 semi decent usable bodies around level 20. Scope, cyclops and that's almost that. Rest are just plainly horrible. I've jumped from alien to scope because all other offered almost no upgrade at all. I would expect more variety and bodies that support certain tactics, like long range fight body with tons of missiles and little of else.

At lvl20 range, Solider (lvl17) torso is the best. (I too use it at that range.)
But if you go to lvl22 range then Lucifer torso outmatches Solider torso.

And about torsos that support certain tactics, there are such torsos present in the game but at higher level.
For example:
Blood Diamond (lvl41) holds 60 bullets
Steel Wolf (lvl47) holds 75 bullets
Nelly McRockets (lvl53) holds 75 rockets

Now I'm getting close to lvl 30 and I would like to buy some entry level cheaper battle worthy 30lvl body/mech. What should I aim for? Should I wait more, to lvl 33, 35 or...?

I have my default mech at lvl33 since Shielded (lvl33) rare torso is best at that level.
Though, Apollo (lvl31) and Twin Turbine (lvl35) also are seeming nice.

Still, it's up to you what to choose/buy.

also beated mike several times, especially on lvl 50+ . past this level you are open to many tactics, not just resistance kits

had a fun couple of matches vs Uzzakis at level 70. we had some good fights, and in the end, I used the very thing he taught me against him
