Probably a noobie question, probably clearly explained somewhere....but
How do I 'make friends' with a player? there doesnt seem to be ingame chat so how do I get the ID number of a player? Are there different ways of doing this?
I have recieved invites to friends by people who I disnt give my number to, so it seems like it can be done.

EDIT to add
The wiki says I can type the name into 'friends box', but that doesnt work, it asks for the ID number.

open the ranking list
click on player's name
it will show a box where you can add him and also his ID #

it will show a box where you can add him and also his ID # Thanks Deflowerer. I was trying to find a way to do it when you cant see the players in the list, particularly when having a random battle to friend the oponent for a rematch for example. Seems like it cant be done.
