Hi all! A lot of people have been complaining about this or that being overpowered lately. A lot of it comes from just not knowing the right strategies for how to beat them. So today, I present to you some top player builds and the strategies for beating them.

Here is the replay list of a player from one of the top clans from today:

Please note, all the following builds are from my own workshop, no hacks or programs used in the creation of these pics.

Here is the setup from the first few losses you see there:

Here is a setup that can be used to beat it:

Suggest a configuration that does not use mythicals. What makes this weapon overpowered is that it makes it difficult to make a full recovery from. You need regeneration above 100 as the the following turns you will be drain again for 100+ to sustaining more damage. Most of these build won't apply to a "Beginning Player". We'll start seeing more double one-shot weapon build more so conventional builds. This is why Supernova and Death-Punch need to be reworked mechanically. Perhaps more usages with a minute benefit compared to other conventional weapons.

Like for example,

Death Punch could cost 10 rockets and deal 50-75 Damage -4 Armor Drain. 3 usages.

Super Nova could have 2 usages and deal 30-68 -5 Armor Drain -45 Drain with 2 usages.

Soon they release a One-Shot Physical Version of these two weapons and everyone in matchmaking will be doubling up on either this , death punch, or supernova.

Title is kind of misleading here.

tickle, why would a build have to have no mythicals before we can claim that super nova isn't overpowered? take all the other mythicals out of a build that uses super nova and there are LOTS of non-mythical builds that would win.

The fact of the matter is that super nova is easily beatable with the right set up and the right strategy which the OP clearly demonstrates.

If the target audience is beginning players, most beginning players do not have a full set of mythicals.

ticklemericky & Tortured ...
jtothepowerof8 opened this thread to try to disgrace bestplayeroftheworld and HIDE it under a lead to believe title and that for "beginning player" :!: :?: :!:

(very bad behavior from a "maintenance & PR team"-member, to do such things)

And the reason he started with such things (again ... as usual) ...

jtothepowerof8 (=Aegis) is mad, because he could not reach his planned gold medal, what a pit(t)y    bestplayeroftheworld took this gold medal very easy :!:
Aegis (=jtothepowerof8) tried hard, BUT (of course against bestplayeroftheworld) little boy FAILED
:!:

I disagree, this thread, if anything, would be more like a praise to you best... He's using you as the example of whom EVERYONE should try to beat and overcome. The images used on the first post show you losing, what, 10 out of 32 matches? Nothing in here indicates that you are a bad player. It instead comes off as a posting which ends up focusing on helping newer players learn how to face one of the toughest players currently playing.

Just because he show's you losing does not mean he is trying to down talk you. He's using you as an example that is strong. You do not have to take every image of you losing as an automatic insult. Losing is just as much part of the game.

However, I will agree with tickle. As this is focusing on newer players, most do not have the substantial equipment to make these builds. Sure, making a trade here and there for something they do have works, but when that applies to everything equipped, then you have a totally different setup with very different results.

I'd say this is more of an intermediate guide. Something that will help those who have played a bit and got into the top 3 rankings, but can't figure out how to break into the 1st rankings due to the overpowered rank 1.

Funny :!:

The only reason he did, is because he couldnt catch bestplayeroftheworld for the gold medal last week :!:

But seems a few do not like the TRUTH :!:

;)

And to hide it under a title like "Beginning Player Advice" shows his poor intelligence :!:

I agree :!:

You're probably right, Malice. I'm used to fighting those mechs in ranks 1 and 2 and was aiming this at the ones who want to make the jump from just barely being in those ranks to winning at the top level. Frankly, it's going to take some decent mythicals and some fusion gained over time.
