First of all, I like this game a lot, despite its numerous bugs
I wanted to talk about the battleranking in PvP.
I think allowing a gap up to 4 battleranking levels is an error. I've already battled players 4 levels below (and it's not even a challenge to beat them), and 4 levels above (I've been blew up 97% of the time, without any solution, the 3% left are very bad players). A 2 levels gap max would be better, IMHO.
Second, there is a bug when starting a PvP game. There's a counter indicating the battleranking allowed. Increasing from the same level than me, then ±1 level, ±2, ... and ± 4 levels.
Well, I already encountered players 4 levels above me while the counter was indicating my own level. Just after I started looking for a battle, in fact.
That doesn't help avoiding high battleranking players (cf. first complaint).

I believe the issue with this was as you get into higher levels there are fewer players at that level so the gap increases. Not 100% sure so don't quote me on that.

There is one drawback though, if you only edit your post, it isn't shown and it also doesn't bump the topic. It would be better if the people knew if the post has been edited and if the topic gets bumped when a post in it is edited i think...

I'm playing for weeks now, I know the difference between player level and matchranking.
I'm just saying I shouldn't have met a level 39 player (matchranking) as soon as I asked for a PvP game when I'm level 35 (matchranking).
The player level is irrelevant here.

You can get matched to the players in your matchmaking range even if your matchmaking search level isn't expanded. The opponent's matchmaking search level being expanded is enough for it...

So one can't avoid too high PvP ? What's the use of the matchmaking range countdown then ?

The point is, your opponnt couldn't get matched with his own level, so it increases his matchmaking range to find him an opponent. He can also get matched with an opponent 4 lv's higher than himself too... Downgrade your mech to lv 34 if you can, and you'll most certainly avoid the Gladiator users and be able to pick easier fights.
