Clannad, a dating game, has actually took me 3 whole months to complete the game.

It's originated from Visual Novel, the anime is just an adaptation to it (but it is really good and cover most of the Visual Novel too.

however u will miss the nervous feeling when u choose the option for confess and the likes.

imo dating games are harder than action games. Since action games' choices usually:
Do = live
Don't do = die

when dating games need u to build up scores through ur actions. Like:
U met a girl:
Ignore her: -1 point
Look at her: +1 point
Say hi to her: +2 point

And when u have enough points, u will have the good ending. But if u don't have, bad ending (failed and forever alone) is waiting for u.

actually the Fate Stay Night (the current story) will need u to get all bad ending (with one very hard to find) to be 100% complete the game.
