eh? Saying it turns to dust is just a way of saying it...
and even if we're blown off by a meteor... wat do u think will happens to those small parts of the Earth? Will they just disappear? No. They become meteorites that floating around on the space, or become dusts. Eventually, those dusts will be forming with the other dusts, attracting each other with their small but effective gravity force, over centuries, they will become a big one, then become a planet. Then they got meteor'd, those meteors brings resources from the old planets which they are origniated from, oxygen, hydrogens, nitrogen, silver, iron, copper, water,...
Eventually, if the planet's gravity, distance to the nearest Sun as well as nearest big planets, and the resources the planet has from the fallen Meteors is good enough, the planet will begin to support life.

ok then, how can u explain where the heck did the meteor go when they hit a planet?
They bounce out and aim at another planet?
Or drill over to the other side of the planet and continue?
They stay there, on the planet, and gradually become part of the planet itself.
