BA: A render is something cut out of an image, In all my sigs my main focal point is the render (or parts of the render, such as the eye in patzz' sig).
In DoDs Sig for example, Samus is a render, because it is just a picture of samus with no background. If it had a background it would be a stock image.
Patzz: I'll get on it when i find a good technique. I've used most of the good ones =/.
