It's always been obvious that terrorism was just an excuse and we really just wanted oil.

I still wonder, what the big hurry was, in giving Osama a burial at sea without even releasing a pic of his body. ;)

Could have just been to blame Pakistan as well, ya know.
The reason they didn't release any pictures and dropped him into the sea is simple.. They didn't want him to become a martyr. As soon as there is a grave you have masses of people crowding around it pledging to 'have revenge' on the Americans who kill their leader. Just another excuse for more poor ol' young men to become terrorists. Exact same thing goes for pictures, I doubt it would be taken very well for the group's shot up leader to be broadcasted everywhere, that would only create more excuses for 'anger' against the U.S which in those countries = more terrorists.

The real question is. Did they have to actually kill him in the first place...
The best of the best gave him a head shot!! Just say if he did hold his wife or whatever in front of him and they gave a head shot couldn't they have done something else,
Some say he was not even trully armed

A man that would do that deserves death. It's not because he killed people that made him evil, it's because he didn't have any remorse for it.

As if it made things any better. He is already being considered a martyr. Plus a lack of any evidence whatsoever, clearly throws doubt on the validity of the operation itself. To avoid such things, and BECAUSE america is a democracy, and BECAUSE they owe transparency to its citizens, they need to print pics. BTW the "anger" you speak of is justified. Though, the methods chosen to express them, especially using terror as a tactic to kill innocents is not right.
