For now, SM is getting better and worse at the same time. On the good side, the game's player base has been increasing for the past months. On the bad side however, is that it's still, bad.
Here's a list that everyone knows why the game sucks for now.
1.
The Meta- To describe it in one word, it's "disastrous". (for extremely obvious reasons) 80% of mythical items are just left to rot in your inventory: never to be used. And some weapons are not living up to their purpose. *Devastation Swarm and Electric Storm* Why is it dealing more damage than physical weapons? Just why? Oh dear oh dear. I say, needs major nerfing and this will be solved.
2.
The Workshop - Ever since that one update, making mechs and upgrading items is just plain punishment when trying to come up with a new mech build. I say, bring back to old shop. Nothing more, nothing less.
3.
Poor Game Management- This one literally says it all. To be particular, with all due respect, our developer's game managing is really poor.
I'll let you all know, there's a difference between developing and managing to clarify things before I state my explanation. Anyways, the poor game management is definitely a barrier in making SM a better game.
As far as I'm concerned, the developers aren't paying much attention to our forums as of now. (I heard there will be a new forums for SM but that isn't relevant to this topic.) So far, most of the games I know and are popular and pretty good is because their respective developers asks suggestions from the community, listens to their complaints and do something about it and etc. Which clearly our developers aren't doing, sadly.
Don't believe me? I have some proofs:
~Color kits still aren't back
~As stated earlier, workshop is a disaster
~Pads
~Bugs
..and more!
The developers are literally on their own. But a successful game needs a cooperation between the developers and the community. Obviously, when our respective developers does listen to our feedbacks, complaints, and suggestions, it will be a better game. I heard rumors that none of the developers are in touch with the forums, which I said earlier, is a major problem. The reason for that is because there's a project of some sort where we will be changing forums, but that's still not a valid reason to not have that occasional read once in a while..
They are composed of a group of 23 people. 23. Seriously, atleast one of you, (if you're reading this but it isn't likely) please, do things right. This serves as a constructive criticism, it is for your own good if you want to make the game, a better game. I say, visit the forums as often.
