I think the amount of rank score you get after a pvp match is based on level difference and turns needed or something... I noticed because I played against two level 22 while I was 24 both times. I got +11 the first time because my build countered his but the second time it was a shield + repair spammer and it took way longer and I got -2. This feels unfair because I played well and won both games. I even finished the second fight with a teleport to the other side of the map and harpooned him the maximum distance which results in his exploding Mech being dragged over the screen.
Getting -2 was quite a downer.
I think it would be a good idea to never give negative points to a winner. No matter the level gap. 0 points will do just fine, being penalized for winning sucks.
EDIT:
Okay something's definitely wrong, I just battled the same level 23 twice in a row. I'm level 27 now and the first time I won and received -2 ladder points, the second time I lost and I GAINED 6 ladder points.
I hope you guys can fix that
EDIT2:
Just battled a level 27 (same level as I am), I won but received -7 ladder points.
EDIT3:
I can only see my own ladder rank, not the opponent's one.
EDIT 4:
After leaving the battle finder running for a while I fought a level 32 while I'm still level 27 and the finder said it was searching 23 - 31. I can still defeat most level 30 opponents but most level 31 I face have the Blue Rein and have a shield build, just like me but I don't stand a chance against them because they have better modules/kits and shield.
EDIT 5:
I'd like to paint my drone.
EDIT 6:
I'm level 28 now and just fought a level 33 which should not be possible according to the find battle expansion message. (Still won though
).
EDIT 7:
I'm currently level 31 and battled a level 26 twice in a row which is too big of a level gap. Poor guy :c
