I don't post here often so this might be my only post. But I've played 5+ years mostly on E2, which is very boost heavy compared to others. Anyway....


This is one possible method which may or may not work.

However, if the true stated goal is to increase fighting, bring battle score back. It's less controversial and a much more likely outcome of getting people to fight as higher scores = greater rank. If it wasn't working, try to actually get it fixed.

Also, if you are going to take away tokens for 2nd/3rd, then you need to have an incentive for newer guys or older guys with less time to still log in. I have no idea why you couldn't just extend that incentive with team medals/banners or even adding a few extra slots for individual medals.

Finally, no one I know of on E2 plays for the team token rewards. To get 2nd much less 1st you are buying reds or someone on your team is. Make the incentive more game-like (medals/banners). Otherwise, if I wanted blues, I'd go sit on F4.

PS. Feel free to close a few servers if ppl aren't playing on them. More players on less servers = more good, active teams on fewer worlds fighting for pride/medals/banners or even tokens (if people really do play for that). Or make only competitive worlds based on number of active players get tokens i.e. vary the amount of tokens per world where e1/2 and m2 get top 3 places and f4 gets top place.

Feel free to reply. I like to change the paradigm a bit as I don't think this is the best way to increase competition. For the record, I could care less about 2nd/3rd not getting blues one way or another.

kong as ive been told many times "there is almost no competition there lol u'd enjoy it" srry no i like to earn my victories but doing so obviously has come to an end

i was a big "skill over token" guy early on but i learned through my time here skill is restricted more than token

and thats not even taking into account ppl with 1/2 my skill and the tokens

no actually it created more controversy than this... and unless we can devise a way to see whether the battles are reward-deserving or not, we can't really fix it. But that means many complicated things that will completely change BD, for worse.

we have said this before, we will try and see if there are any way to do so. And u're welcome to give us a suggestion at anytime.

it would be great if every single alliances out there aim for 1st, or at least as high as they can. If it was, then we wouldn't have made this decision. Sadly, it wasn't. More likely than not u'll find eras where the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank agreed on the ranking, and that 2nd and 3rd handed over the relics to the 1st in exchange for the rank. Or even worse, they were even subs.

no i cant do either of those , i like E4 and E1 , although since my tiff with simmen threatoning to ban me for doing what ive always done and take everybodys op's for resource's , i havent been back to E1 , but i havent played a real good serious round on a decent team in 2 years ? .. ive turned into that lurker guy in game and forums .

Maybe you are not truly as skilled as you believe yourself to be, I've had no problems beating and outscoring heavy boosters that are also very skilled. I believe that says quite a lot since I tend to be a very blunt and very honest person, not something that many people flock to, yet I am still able to put together strong teams and overcome any obstacle in my way.

It's already been mentioned earlier. This won't effect any worlds that have already started their eras. It will only begin to effect worlds resetting from now on.

All ongoing eras (except M2 which anounced it would only give to rank 1) will give the normal prizes.

How come some worlds can do the rank 1 only and other worlds do the normal way? See which one people prefer and let the people that play the game decide which worlds are better

Its a great idea.. And in theory it should work, and yes i hope it works for battle dawn's sake. A spruce up of competition is needed, This game has a lot to improve on yet. But this is 1 step in the right direction.
