It was an alliance originally created by MisakaShotgun on E1, it had 2 or 3 mentors in it, and they would recruit newer players either in game or any newbs they had in the AANC, and teach them how to play first hand.

i think mentors should do such alliances on every server. Rather them having blue alliance , why not teach game to newb if just watching the game.

The AANC members are volunteers, they don't have the time or will to start newb alliances on every single world and with it exclude themselves from regular play...  As for TNF, it's just a copy of NEWB really. Simen's newb training team. Talk to Sim Sim, he's still around.
