I know, I've seen some other threads. But I need to get my point across, in a different sort of matter.
Did this weapon seriously only cop a nerf of -20 energy damage? This is ridiculous! 90 energy damage, plus the added energy drainage of another turn, plus a energy drone, is quite simply ridiculous.
And to add the fact that 66 top players will be running around with at least one by the end of this week. In all honesty, that is going to be a bloody gamebreaker. Seriously. My mech has been rendered OBSELETE by these builds. While my mech wasn't exactly a good mech, it settled with around a 65-70% win loss. Before this weapon came out.
Lets just do a little comparison.


Let me list some comparisons.
1. HP Damage. The Inferno Mark II, has a weak damage output, of 22-37. Which is alright, depending on how you use it. It used to be a widely used weapon, but again, has been rendered a little obselete. The Supernova? 68-90 damage. That is around 3 times the amount of damage!
2. Number of uses. Whilst the Supernova is nerfed as well in this regard, the Inferno has also been nerfed down to 2 uses. So effectively, the infernos 'max damage' it can give is 44-74, the Supernova still trumps it with 68-90.
3. Elemental damage. In my opinion, anything above 60 heat/energy damage is a little too OP. But the Supernova, as stated above, sits at 90 still. How was this possibly a nerf? All it did was subtract 20HP from the max amount of damage it can do! It still absolutely smashes most mechs, and enables the user to keep the enemy at 0 energy throughout the whole match. At least you can come back from some heat weapons, like the death punches, even though they're OP in their own regard.
4. The Range. The Inferno only has a range of 1, and because of that, it is easily outmatched by newcomers such as Flame Boots and Meltdown, as they do similar heat damage but more HP damage. The Supernova has a range of 4-6! Which means it will be of guaranteed use in any match, while the Inferno is a lot harder to use.
5. Legendary-Mythical. The Inferno, the most heat-damaging weapon, is only a legendary. If you are going to introduce a weapon such as the Supernova, at least release a counterpart? Actually. No. Don't do that. Very bad. But you get my point.
This weapon, needs to be nerfed to 70, at the absolute MINIMUM. It is far too OP, even with the first nerf. And I know lots of people still agree.
