Actually Dyl, you can actually plot a bell curve parallel to production and advances enabled by oil production, and the world population will follow that curve, with a delay of a few years. It is no secret we are well past peak oil now, and I predict that nature will do the eugenicist work for us. You and I are hardly part of "the club", and i seriously doubt that our family, friends and loved ones are going to be helped by anything they are doing there.
In that respect, I trust nature to make such choices more than I trust a bunch of creepy elitist rich guys who hide in hotels together every year, and somehow convince the police to arrest people for taking their picture, and set up 1/2 mile privacy zones which can result in you getting arrested or shot for trying to get too close. It just seems flat out wrong. If what they are doing in there is so damn righteous, why so much exclusion? It doesn't make sense! No, I seriously doubt that whatever they are doing in there is in the best interest of humanity. If it is, then open the doors and make me eat crow!
Technically speaking, what is taking place in that hotel right now is a felony under the Logan Act.

It's always been like that Seth. If you have something that raises your status, like power, money, or influence, which all of these men have, then the rules don't apply to you.

Lets face it... We all act like the rules don't apply to us. We all break the law sometimes. Laws and rules are man made. If people get so shocked by this kind of thing, then it's their own fault for falling into the trap of thinkig laws and rules can actually stop a man from doing what he wants.
