The only winning the battle.. because we had no force at home (even when I massed messaged the war somehow our official defender teleported to the battlezone 3 ticks later >.>', also some squads of a player who was in the middle.. pretty funny isn't it)

But yea because we were low on resources after cutting our way through fast into ALW's base and suddenly getting this... we couldn't return on time.. + the relics...

It was true we had 2 options. 1. Stay and kill ALW completely and die in the process (which would give sky all the crystals)
or 2. Race back up and defend..

I made a third option.. which was splitting the force... which failed we coulnd't reach in time when our forces reached half of THN was killed already and they had control of nearly 15 nuke silo's of ZAAR who didnt bother to take em back... this did gave them a huge advantage seeing we had to get back from the other side of the map.. which cost loads of oil/energy and then nukes in our face... hmm right..

So yea it was though and I'm done. I had enough free time to beat ALW and get this round to end. this didn't happen my activity has decreased alot and I can't properly lead BU anymore.

This battle was lost the moment it started.. I knew.. however the morale of BU was high so I decided to fight anyways but we Can't no more.. not cause we lost that much BU has almost no losses. just because I know its useless

So I decided that we concede. SKY wins.
Told my members they can leave at anytime they like and join an alliance that would make them stay alive in this world if they wished to play it any further.

I also gave em the option to stay if they wished.. at there own risk.

I might retire or do whatever... maybe I'll cya guys back in this world.. whenever it restarts.. knowing routhy.. probably gonna stay till tick 3000 (thats what he told me)

Hi, all. This is the (in)famous fleisl who never reads the forums. I have to say, this is an educational thread:)
First I just want to say that I think most people here are basically decent folks. Mostly we aren't evil backstabbers, whiners, deceivers, maligners, etc. But, that I also see a strong tendency to read the worst into what people write.
Saying things like "how can we believe your numbers, you won't show us you troops" and "So-and-so was ready to betray you all, did you know that?" is just, well, silly. 99% of the time we're not making up troop numbers, and so-and-so was not a malicious betrayer. The reader just put in the extra effort to "find" deception and malice.

Next, I want to say Dixian's last post was well written. I think I know how you feel, I'm rather fried myself:)
I also wanted to say that I have great respect for BU's battle-field skill. Ask anyone in Sky: I've been saying in our chats and mass messages for a day or two now: BU is not like anyone else we've fought. They are sharp and scary active!

It has been an honor. Also (and perhaps I'm not really cut out for these games:)), I always feel keenly for the losing side in a conflict, and wince at the chest-thumping of the winning side. But that's me:)

Oh, and tuan, Routhy's last BR I think showed the end of nearly, if not all, of THN's troops.

For those of you who were asking about the bug mentioned earlier, in the famous "36 killed 432!" battle:

First let me just say that that little deal was brilliantly executed by BU! We overpowered a gate, they "fled" at the last instant, and the moment we took it we were locked down and virused. And then noticed the 2 groups of ships incoming at ETA 1. Brialliant! I loved it!
SO we said "ack! What do we do? Those 2 trapped armies are too valuable to lose!" We decided it was worth the energy to reduce losses to only our armor, and started ioning.
We ioned the group of 2 ships--no effect. We ioned at the same time the group of 5 ships--the entire group knocked back to ETA 2!
We said "Huh? What? Well, let's not look a gift-horse in the mouth". Ioned the 2 ships still at ETA 1, this time it worked, now all 7 are at ETA 2. And so is our reinforcement... yay!!
But, surprise of surprises, next tick 4 of those ETA 2 ships hit us. Go figure!

Now, I'm saying all this because people were curious, and asking. Watch how some of you will seek the worst meaning, and say I'm just whining because we lost so much, and trying to make excuses.
Truth is, I don't care that much:) I thought BU did a great move, and I'm honored to take losses to such cleverness. And we scrambled to deal the best we could, and got surprised by odd system behaviour (5 ships affected by 1 ion?!?).
Then we moved on.
