The main thing that needs to go are heat controls. Here's a tip taciosft. Dont make staples mythicals. Ever. If you're going to nerf these instead of removing them, then make then legendaries. Make them give like 10 - 12 less cooling each or something. Also even if these werent mythicals and everyone had 'em, even then they'd give too much cooling. It's super boring. Making everyone use the regen and cooldown module was much better tbh. Needing 135 - 140 cooling is ridiculous. But if you do keep em then meh whatever.
Next is the items that give a lot of heat.
The axes and lava sprays need to be nerfed if the cooling modules are nerfed, duh.

Next thing is torsos. Make the older ones playable so not everyone needs god mode. God mode could use a small nerf, if not be eliminated OR completely changed. It has good health AND good stats? Pick one or make it even heavier. I know it's ur moneymaking flagship but as addressed on here: viewtopic.php?f=409&t=75439
it's hurting the game too much. There shouldnt be just one or two good torsos to play. Okay 3. Only 3 mythical torsos are playable. But really only one is the best option by far, that's also the problem. The power balance between god mode and other torsos makes God mode a staple. A torso should never be a staple. There should be options.
The other torso that is a HUGE problem is Diamond shell. It should be buffed tho, I think it can still be playable, and doesnt need to be removed. But as it stands it is a horrible torso. More health might do the trick.
Next thing is the electrocop/firewatch and Metal blender. No one uses these ok? Only noobs who have nothing better to play. These things suck terribly and see no play. Don't even try buffing them, these things are a lost cause. Just remove them.
Same thing Needs to be said for the drainers. They used to be relevant. What the hell happened? Why are there so many useless items? This goes back to slowly down the damn game state.
If any mythicals are removed just refund players about 150 - 220 tokens per item removed. Yes I'm aware it seems like a very extreme step, but it's honesly the best way to fix it. Especially with items like heat controls. They cannot be mythicals. Staples should be accessible to everyone. Make them legendary items if they're that good, but NEVER a mythical item.
Post anything else I missed. Keep in mind some items just need a buff or nerf. I'm talking about the ones that are beyond fixing, or are staples.

I agree with everything here. Unless you're expecting the game to die soon and are looking to cash out as much as you can, longevity should take priority. How do you create longevity? Healthy, balanced gameplay.

Besides, even non spenders generate revenue for the game through the ads that you put up, so it really isn't a waste of resources to try to cater to them a little more.

If you remove Heat Controls, be sure to remove the Lava Sprays, Axes and Hammers as well.

In fact, let's just remove everything from God Mode onwards.

Removing/Nerfing heat controls is the worst idea in history! It's worse than anything I can think of. Heat Mechs would reign upon this game and destroy it! Lava sprays are too crazy op to nerf heat controls!!! Removing/Nerfing heat controls is like removing/nerfing armor boosters WHICH DONT NEED A NERF SO DONT SAY IT. Heat control DO NEED TO BE LEGENDARIES THOUGH!!!

Hello my dear illiterate friend. In case you missed it me and flux both covered in our posts that lava sprays, axes and any other ridiculous heat weapons should be nerfed to a point that they are fair and not hurting the game. With those not being as strong heat wouldnt reign as tier 0.
The problem with heat controls is that they are a staple. They should not my mythicals. Secondly, the fact that modules which can add 40 cooling exist, is just a bad mechanic. It requires everyone to have ridiculously high cooling. That isnt fair or fun to most players or builds. Before heat controls the regen modules were the ones that were mainly used, and 80 - 90 was perfectly fine! That was much much better than everyone needing 2 - 3 heat controls per mech or 130 - 140 cooling.

The point I want to get out in this thread is that some decisions and creation of items have hurt the game. Since I left several bad mechanics/items have been implemented. Some people think nerfing is the way to go. I 100% agree. But nerfing heat controls wouldnt really solve the problem imo. If they gave 30 cooling then maybe sure it might work. But they would still be highly sought after and be staples. If they were legendary or ultra items then it may work but I have my doubts, as they still may be an unhealthy mechanic. That's up for debate. Regardless they CANNOT be mythical items. Staples CANNOT EVER be mythical items. This makes the "free to play" experience terrible. When staples are mythicals it sends a message of "either pay money or suck terribly at this game". This is 100% unacceptable.
When I played all the torsos were playable. Now it's only god mode, lava scope occasionally (and the GM builds are better anyway) and hellfire armor (and I still think the GM builds are better). So that's not good. SM needs to return to how it was in some ways. The way it's gone is very bad, and needs to be fixed. If anything, at least we've learned what works and what doesnt.

Something is a lil wrong here , i dont think twin metal shredder mechs are bad , speaking of metal shredders , why havent you buff needle blasters yet ? deal less damage , less resistance , consume even more resourse to fire but heavier than metal shredder ? its a nonsense

No. ultra nova needs a nerf and it can stay. It deals the biggest amount of damage in the game. It should need ammo orrrr require more energy/add heat to fire. or a combination. The heat axes and lava spray can also stay but only if nerfed properly.
Please keep this thread to items that nerfing will not fix. Either items that introduce unhealthy mechanics or problems like heat controls.
