Why the hell not? I'd like an update to bring SOME life back into this game


I didn't even read the suggestion I just read the title that's all xD


ANYTHING TO SPICE THIS GAME UP

cuz I look for people to make teams
and I find that the pool of players to select is quite small

i like the new fragment idea, i think overall it gives more players and alliances a better chance.
as far as taking relics i like the idea of needing to own 5 fragments as an alliance to be able to attack a relic.
i think to have to kill a whole alliance first is too extreme and it gives too much more power to top alliances.
the turret is not a bad idea too but it would kinda limit areas on the map to take a relic at times especially if they are captured by the enemy.
and Simen's idea of releasing fragments is good because it gets the relics out faster and makes it more exciting earlier in an era.

But how will the current changes fix anything? :P

these "noobs" will maybe get a fragment, but the same will happen to them as with crystals, they will get taken at some point in time.

The alliance groups with ten subs behind them will still just zerg other alliances trying to play the game.
And nothing is changed?
dull era's will stay dull?

Don't get me wrong :) i'm all for change :)
But as i see it, don't dress it up more than it is.

i totally agree with you if that is the case.

and i dont think many will agree with me but can you at least ONE server that does not allow boosting? even with all these new reforms, you cant change the "dudes who like to keep their wallet empty by using a HELL LOT OF MONEY in this" from becoming OP by tick 300 or so? i mean in quite a few eras of E2 there has been an alliance which gets a 10x score/power lead from the 2nd alliance from tick 200. pls reply

Good points! The reason for the 300 ticks of no booting after a relic's been built is exactly so a leader cannot do the above scenario you just painted. For an alliance with a relic, if you don't have active enough members, it's very likely, you will not hold the relic. If the 5 new members decide to all leave after joining on their own, then the admins will probably take notice and to me, that's a pretty big flag that people are farming fragments using friends, which farming is not acceptable and bannable.

1. A player wouldn't be allowed to be booted until 300 ticks pass. This would be almost 13 days on a 1 tick server, little over 4 days on a 3 tick server. Most could not go this long without a team of decent players. So no, the relic would stay.
2. The alliance owns the relic, the relic will no longer provide individual score boosts. Only a score boost to the alliance. The scenario you played out above is possible, but extremely unlikely without considerable coordination. Most teams won't survive being chased for that long while severely weakened by nearly half an alliance worth of people.
3. That is a good point! I would like to say yes! But that's something we should put up for ideas. Perhaps the relic just goes neutral as it's no longer associated with an alliance and up for grabs

Honestly im against the idea. I just cant see it working in the long run. Yes its a great idea, but the problem im seeing is when the mobile version is released next year the servers are gunna be swamped once again like back when bd was released on kongregate. In my eyes for 12 players too get 5 fragments on a server with 3000 players when thiers only 80 fragments in the world is kinda unrealistic. Ya your probaley thinking the majority of those players will be noobs and wont play, but i can see the community being alot more active especically for the new players as well. As they can play on the go anywhere it makes the game alot more appealing, as you don't have too sit in front of a computer. In my eyes thats gunna make rounds more competitive and hopefuly thier will be less battle hugs, but at that point i cant see this new relic system working.

You can't take a fragment.

We believe that by spreading relics further, there will be more friction (and war) between allies, subs and so on. We would love to hear your suggestions to make it better though!

We're working on ideas to make it work and fun! We would love to hear your own!

Current idea is relics will move as fast as squads - so no more slowpoke relics!

Do you reckon it would help if we increased the amount of fragments based on the amount of players in a world? Would love to hear your suggestions as to solving that problem. :)

The only way this has a fighting chance of working is if you collect a fragment, others cannot see you have it. Otherwise you may as well put a giant blinking star on the holders colony...bulllseye
